Proposal Description
TuWin Energy Solutions (Pty) Ltd propose the development of a 500MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility, on a site approximately ~22km west of Groblershoop and ~45km south-east of Upington within the Upington Renewable Energy Development Zone (REDZ), the Northern and Western Corridor of the Strategic Transmission Corridors. The projects is to be known as Tshimollo PV1. The site falls within the !Kheis Local Municipality within the Northern Cape Province. It is anticipated that the facility will connect to the electricity grid at Garona Substation.
