SAHRA is overall satisfied that the proposed development within the Grade 1 District 6 landscape will not detract from the significance of the heritage resource and assist the restitution effort in returning the families to their land. The recommendations contained in the HIA are supported. 

• SAHRA requests that all permit reports for any planned excavations and monitoring reports as recommended in the HIA be shared with SAHRA;
• SAHRA to be informed of the plan for curation of the copper boiler below the Hotel Tafelberg;
• SAHRA to be informed if any human remains are identified during the development;
• SAHRA requests that the Final Decision issued by HWC is submitted to the SAHRIS case for the record.
