Raubex Construction (Pty) Ltd intends to mine for Gravel and Stone Aggregate; Gravel (St) over this site. The gravel reserve is situated over an existing quarry which will be work further to fully exploit the mineral reserve over this demarcated area. The gravel will be used in different facets of road- construction and maintenance. The further mining of the existing quarry will be done through opencast mining. This quarry will be mined deeper, whereby the rock will be blasted and removed with an excavator onto a stockpile and fed by a frond end loader into the mobile screening/crushing plant. A stockpile will be created at the screening plant and loaded on the ‎trucks for transporting to the clients. It is envisaged that some of the gravel (G5) will be loaded ‎directly onto the trucks without any processing (crushed). The gravel from the stockpile will be transported at an ‎average rate of 450 tons a day to the clients or as needed.
