UMK Solar PV Facility

United Manganese of Kalahari (Pty) Ltd (UMK) proposes the development of a UMK Photovoltaic (PV) solar energy generation facility, of up to 1 MW in capacity, and associated infrastructure with a total footprint of 4.5 Hectares (ha) (hereafter referred to as the “Proposed Development”). The Proposed Development is located on the Remaining Extent (RE) of the Farm Smartt No. 314, between the towns of Kathu and Hotazel, within the Joe Morolong Local Municipality (JMLM) and John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) District Municipality (DM), Northern Cape Province.
