Proposed development of two chicken houses housing 10 000 layers, and 2 000 small stock unit (goats), large stock unit (500 cattle) facilities and associated infrastructure and crop production area.

Khulanathi Services (Pty) Ltd is currently running a small agricultural operation of 5 000 layers on Portion 71 (of 12) of the Farm Camel Hoek No. 1320 within Umshwathi Local Municipality. Khulanathi Services (Pty) Ltd now intends expanding the agricultural operations to add two chicken houses that will accommodate 10 000 layers on 2 800m² area of 2 x (20m x 70m) each. Therefore, the total layers on site will comprise three chicken houses with a capacity to accommodate 15 000 layers.
The Farm will further stock 2 000 goats and 500 cattle on the Farm with a view to selling them to the goat sellers and Abattoirs respectively. Livestock will cover an area of 24 000m². The Farm operations will also include crop production on a 50 000 m² area.
The total development footprint, will cover 495m² for the existing 1 x chicken house, 2 800m² for the two new proposed chicken houses and 24 000m² for the goats and cattle facilities, crop production on a 50 000 m² area, this gives a total of 77 295m² or 7.7295HA. With internal pathways, parking and other we anticipate another 1 000m² (more or less). Therefore we estimate the total clearance on site to be about 78 295m² or 7.8295 HAs.
