Proposed Bakerville Collector Substation with Associated and Electrical Grid Infrastructure to connect the authorised Boitumelo, Kutlwano and Lerato Solar Power Plant to the Watershed MTS near Lichtenburg, North-West Province

The Applicant, Kutlwano Solar Power Plant (RF) (Pty) Ltd, proposes the development of the proposed Bakerville Collector Substation with Electrical Grid Infrastructure to the Watershed Main Transmission Substation (MTS), comprising of two single circuit 132 kV Overhead Power lines (OHPL) and Associated Infrastructure (hereafter referred to as the ‘Bakerville/Watershed Electrical Infrastructure’), which will connect the authorised Boitumelo, Lerato, and Kutlwano Solar Power Plants (SPPs) to the National Grid. The proposed Bakerville/Watershed Electrical Infrastructure project is located 5 – 15 km north of the town of Lichtenburg and falls within the Ditsobotla Local Municipality and Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality.
