    Proposal Description
Proposed alterations and additions to Kearsney College Chapel. It is proposed to construct two new Transepts; extend the Nave and build a new Sanctuary. The existing Organ Room and Minister's Office will remain. The opposite existing Transept will become a Multi Purpose Space for religious activities for small groups. The increase in the number of staff and pupils and the consequent congestion on entering or leaving the Chapel has necessitated the introduction of two new steel double doors into the original Nave space. The natural fall of the ground allows for toilets and storage in the basement space. The form of the new work will be informed by the existing construction. The external walls will be constructed in a new facebrick which is compatible with the original. The Garden of remembrance will be linked to and integrated into the new North Eastern Transept.
