This permit is issued to Mr. Anton Pelser of APELSER Archaeological Consulting to undertake the test excavation for a possible Herder's Grave (Site ID Irene Ridge X 215) on Portion 111 of the farm Doornkloof 391JR, near Irene, within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province. The possible grave is demarcated by a stone cairn and containing a single upright stone that could indicate a headstone. Burial grounds and graves are considered to be of High Significance and graded as Grade IIIA. The possible Herder's Grave will be directly impacted by the proposed development of a Township (Irene Ridge Extension 215).
