Thank you for your submission for the proposed alteration and construction at “The Bombed Clinic”, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Home in Majwemasweu, Brandfort in the Free State Province. Transparent/see-through glass wall cover structure that is 10 meter long; 7 meter wide (covering all four sides); 5 meter height. The glass wall to be with supporting steel/aluminium columns. Including a roof covering, the new installed roof to cater for 10m length and 7m wide structure and to cover the existing roof of the bombed clinic. The purpose of the covering is to protect the surviving structure from further deterioration and to exhibit it to visitors.

From the overall submission and supporting documentation, SAHRA gives consent for the construction at the existing heritage structure “The Bombed Clinic” at the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Home in Brandfort, Free State Province and all heritage related principles are adhered to according to the ambit of the National Heritage Resources Agency Act No. 25 of 1999. Section 27(18).
