Breyten Colliery, which is part of the Benicon Mining, is an existing mine which has been in operation since 2016. This application is an extension of the life of mine as a result of additional reserves obtained after additional infill drilling, as well as operational change to underground mining.
Breyten Colliery (Pty) Ltd is hereby applying for an amendment of an existing Mining Right, (MP30/5/1/2/2/347 (10222) MR, on Portion 7 remaining extent (a Portion of Portion 1) of the Farm Bankfontein 215 IS. The property is approximately 516 Hectares in extent and is situated in the Masukaligwa Local municipality district, Breyten Mpumalanga Province, for which a current Mining Right is currently still valid.
