MINING RIGHT APPLICATION BY MASEKUDU YA MNADEDI PROPERTIES

MASEKUDU YA MNADEDI PROPERTIES (PTY) LTD proposed to establish an opencast mine with intention to mine the following minerals Chrome ore, Platinum Group Metal and Vanadium ore on the farms Riverside 107 KT, Penge 106 KT and Goothoek 256 KT in the magisterial district Sekhukhune.
the mining right follows a successful prospecting of the said farm. The proposed mining will be open pit mine to a depth of 50m. The mining method to be used will be buffer blasting box cut and open-cast (excavators), and the use of heavy vehicles (excavators and haul trucks) designed to carry heavy load to transport the mined Chrome ore, Platinum Group Metals, and Vanadium to the processing plant. The life of mine will be 30 years, with possible extension of life of mine subject to verification of more mineral reserves.
