The Proposed PV Facility and Associated Infrastructure on Portion 134 (A Portion Of Portion 2) of the Farm Middelvlei, near Randfontein, in Gauteng Province

Middelvlei Two Solar (Pty) Ltd is proposing the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy facility (known as Middelvlei Solar Two) with a capacity up to 45MW on a site approximately 7km south-west of the town of Randfontein in the Gauteng Province. The Solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of single axis tracking solar PV panels (approximately 85000 PV panels) and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 45MW. The solar panels, once installed, will stand up to 3m above ground level.
