Grid Connection Infrastructure for Anker Solar PL 8 near Hennenman, Free State Province

The proposed project entails the development of the Anker grid connection infrastructure which consists of 132kV single/double-circuit overhead power line with the associated infrastructure. A 400m wide (including temporary working area), grid connection corridor is being assessed for the placement of the powerline route. The length of the powerline is dependent on which alternative is authorised.
The alternatives are detailed below:
Alternative (Preferred) route 1: ~0.57km in length.
Alternative route 2: ~3.1km in length.
Alternative route 3: ~4.67km in length
The Anker power line is proposed to connect into the existing Eskom Everest or Leander Substations, or a switching station in proximity to the powerline. A service road beneath the powerline is required for maintenance purposes.
