Grid Connection Infrastructure for Nepal Solar PL 7 near Hennenman, Free State Province

The proposed project entails the development of grid connection infrastructure which consists of 132kV single/double-circuit overhead power line with the associated infrastructure on the Portion No. 6 of the Farm Welgegund 86. A 400m wide (including temporary working area), grid connection corridor is being assessed for the placement of the powerline route. The length of the powerline is dependent on which alternative is authorised. The alternatives are detailed below:
Preferred route: ~5,42km in length.
Alternative route 1: ~6,41km in length.
The power line is proposed to connect into the Eskom Everest No 1 Virginia Terminal Overhead Powerline. The alternative grid connection will connect to the Eskom Everest Substation. A service road beneath the powerline is required for maintenance purposes.
