Permit for the Survey, Identification and Collection of Significant Material and Data from Farms Wydgelegen, Panda’s Graf, Melkboom , Evergreen. KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

This permit extends the systematic aerial and pedestrian survey, with provision for limited sub-surface reconnaissance (auguring, test pits), being conducted by the Zulu Kingdom Archaeology Project.. No identified sites occur on these farms. The pedestrian survey will be conducted in portions of farms, aerial survey will be undertaken in instances where archaeological features are identified, select surface collection of artefact samples may be collected at identified sites, and in special cases, auguring and max 2 x 2 m test pits will be placed to collect data on deposit characteristics and/or collect higher quality in situ remains for further study.
