22kV Eskom Powerline Re-route, Roodebloem 51IT

Ilima Coal Company (Pty) Ltd ("Ilima") is proposing to re-route a section of the 22kV Eskom Powerline in the Remaining Extent of Farm Roodebloem 51IT, near Carolina Town in Chief-Albert Luthuli Local Municipality, within the Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mpumalanga Province. The proposed powerline has a total length of 2 860m (2.8km). Ilima is the surface right holder of the farm portion intended for the proposed project. Furthermore, Ilima is the Holder of Mining Right (MR) and Integrated Environmental Authorization (IEA) granted by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) over the same area. Ilima was also issued an Integrated Water Use Licence (IWUL) by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) over the area earmarked for the proposed project (22kV Powerline Re-route).
