Nhlaluko started her career as an intern in Cultural Resources Management as an archaeologist and heritage specialist and is now working as a Heritage Resources Management Consultant. She started working as an archaeological tour guide at Sci Bono Discovery Centre in collaboration with the French Embassy in Pretoria and the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) in from May 2018 to February 2019. Nhlaluko is a Masters graduate who did research on sustainable tourism development in sacred lands with intangible heritage, specifically looking at the case of Phiphidi falls in Limpopo by engaging with members of the community, tourism developers and all the stakeholders involved. She is currently a PhD candidate working on intangible heritage within mining communities.
