SECTION 24G OF NEMA FOR THE UNLAWFUL COMMENCEMENT AND/OR CONTINUATION WITH LISTED ACTIVITIES (SANCHRO CHROME WASHING FACILITY) ON PORTION 24 OF THE FARM BOSCHOEK 103 JQ, WITHIN RUSTENBURG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, BOJANALA PLATINUM DISTRICT

SANCHRO (Pty) Ltd intends to rectify the clearance of vegetation, establish a chrome wash plant and engage in water use activities Without authorisations on Portion 24 of the farm Boschoek 103 JQ, within Rustenburg Local Municipality, Bojanala Platinum District, Northwest Province. The central coordinates of the proposed project are 25° 30'24.73"S 27° 5'25.49" E. The SG-21 Surveyor General Codes are T0JQ00000000010300024. The SANCHRO wash plant commenced May 2020 and covers a total area for the site is 5 Ha. (Figure 2 and
Appendix C shows the site pictures). The facility currently consists of the following:
• Wash plant;
• Weigh bridge; Workshop; Staff Offices; Ablution;
• 3 x Crusher;
• 1 x Horizontal and Elevator screen Conveyor;
• 2 x Conveyer Feeding System;
• Electrical Component with control panel;
• Water requirements 1 x borehole
• 3 x Water recycle dams
• 5 x water storage and lining
• 1 x 85 m² waste storage area.
