This permit application is for the destruction of the mitigated llikwa Stone Walling Iron Age Site located within the authorised llikwa PV Solar Facility on Farm Proceederfontein 100 Portion 5, Free State Province. The Iron Age site comprise clusters of stone walled sites and a large maize grindstone identified among the multiple stone walled sites. These heritage features are assigned a field rating of Generally Protection C and low heritage significance. The heritage features will be impacted by the authorised construction of the PV solar facility and the associated infrastructure. Excavated material accessioned on-site will be curated and housed by the Ditsong Museum of Cultural History, Pretoria, Gauteng Province.
