    Proposal Description
Since the late 1960’s, the family residing within the dwelling have grown 3 generations, thus, it was imperative that the built form be altered to accommodate for the family’s new spatial requirements. The oldest family member required a private space, therefore, the new ancillary unit was created. To ensure that the ancillary unit was a self - contained unit, the necessary living areas had been constructed by simple internal alterations to the existing structure. Similarly, the main dwelling had to undergo changes due to space being given to the ancillary unit. And with modern trends, an internal wall had been demolished, creating an open plan living area, naturally allowing the kitchen to be repositioned and giving opportunity for new bedrooms and bathrooms. In support of sports and entertainment, a new fibre glass pool was installed. And due to time and decay, wood borer had severely affected the timber window frames, thus, the frames had been changed to aluminium.
