    Proposal Description
The area will be mined through opencast excavations. Vegetation cover will be stripped, topsoil ‎layer will be removed and stored on the side of the ‎excavation. Overburden will be stripped and ‎placed on the side of the excavation. The diamond ‎bearing gravel is then removed with a 30-ton ‎excavator and placed next to the excavation and loaded ‎onto a tipper truck and taken to the ‎processing area where it will be put through a washing pan for ‎processing. Rough out of the pan and ‎over size stones will be taken back to the excavation for ‎backfilling and the wet puddle will be ‎pumped directly into open excavations. Overburden will be ‎pushed back after wet puddle is dried out ‎and lastly topsoil will be replaced after finale sloping has ‎occurred. Diamond gravel will be sorted ‎and recovered by hand.
