Proposed Expansion of the Authorised Kutlwano Solar Power Plant and the Establishment of a New Access Road

The Applicant, Kutlwano Solar Power Plant (RF) (Pty) Ltd, received environmental authorisation (EA) for the development of the 150 MW Kutlwano Solar Power Plant on the 25 April 2022 (DFFE Reference 14/12/16/3/3/2/2085). Following receipt of EA, the Applicant is proposing the expansion of the development footprint and additional infrastructure to facilitate the operation of the Kutlwano Solar Power Plant. The development is located on Portion 4 of Farm Houthaaldoorns No. 2 and Portion 23 of Farm Houthaalbomen No. 31, approximately 15 km south of Lichtenburg and falls within the Ditsobotla Local Municipality and Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, in the North-West Province.
