    Proposal Description
Gledhow Mill, in the KwaZulu-Natal province, proposes the continued maintenance activities along the existing water abstraction pipeline channel, bridge crossing, fencing activities and abstraction pump repairs. Maintenance activities will take the form of removing debris, unblocking the channel, removal of alien invasive vegetation, excavating/dredging the channel, etc. to ensure that the channel receives a constant supply of water to feed the abstraction facility. The fencing around the water abstraction facility will need to be repaired as well as the pump that is used for abstraction of water has to undergo repairs to ensure it is functioning efficiently. The other proposed activity is the maintenance of the bridge crossing and access road on site near the water abstraction facility. The location of the existing bridge crossing and access road occurs on a tributary adjacent to the Hlimbitwa river. Maintenance of the bridge in its current state will be undertaken to allow for access to facilities. No upgrades or expansions are proposed.
