Townlands S102 Uitkyk inclusion

Application for Environmental Authorisation submitted in support of the application for a Section 102 Mining Right Amendment for the Mining of Coal.

An in terms of section 102 of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 28 of 2002 ("MPRDA") is undertaken and seeks approval for the extension of the Izimbiwa Cola Proprietary Limited ("IC Mining Right") mining right bearing DMRE reference number MP 30/5/1/2/2/10282 MR (355MR) and MPT number 104/2011 and consisting of the remaining extent of portion 27 and portion of mineral area 2 of the farm Middelburg Town and Townlands 287 JS ("IC Mining Right") and by adding the prospecting right portion (a portion of the remaining extent of portion 27 of the farm Middelburg Town and Townlands 287 JS) of the Uitkyk Prospecting Right application – prospecting right bearing DMRE reference number MP 30/5/1/1/2/18604 PR("UK Prospecting Right Application"), measuring 88.2 hectares in extent, and which portion of the immovable property is situated in the Middelburg Magisterial district of Mpumalanga Province.

Izimbiwa Coal Pty Ltd_Middelburg Townsland Colliery thus makes this application to amend the Izimbiwa Coal Mining Right by including the Uitkyk PR Section (a portion of the remaining extent of portion 27 of the farm Middelburg Town and Townlands 287 JS) from the UK Prospecting Right application.

Izimbiwa Coal Pty Ltd is the owner of both the Mining Right (MP 30/5/1/2/2/10282 MR) (355MR) and the Prospecting Right application MP 30/5/1/1/2/18604 PR.

Activities proposed for the additional section to be incorporated will be for the continuation of open pit rollover mining.
