Izimbiwa Uitkyk PR

The proposed project entails the application of a Prospecting Right (PR) for Izimbiwa Coal (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter Izimbiwa) in terms of Section 16 (MPRDA) on portions of the remaining extent of portion 27 of the farm Middelburg Town and Townlands 287 JS, measuring 88.2 hectares in extent, situated in the Middelburg Magisterial district of Mpumalanga Province.
Izimbiwa has appointed Eco Elementum (hereinafter EcoE) as independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs) to undertake the required processes for the environmental authorisations, as they apply to prospect the remaining portions of portion 27 of the farm Middelburg Town and Townlands 287 JS. A Basic Assessment (BA) process is required in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, Act No. 107 of 1998 (NEMA) and the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, as amended for the application of a Prospecting Right.
