Proposal Description
This grid connection will evacuate the energy generated by the Zaaiplaats Solar PV1 facility to the national grid via the Mercury MTS.
The project components include the following:
Eskom switching station (100m x 100m)
132kV power line of approximately 3,6km in length
Corridor width up to 250m
Existing access roads to the powerline will be used. Where and if required, a new approximately 6m wide access road will be developed for construction, maintenance and inspection purposes within the servitude area
