Interim Comment
The SAHRA Development Applications Unit (DAU) notes the submission of the draft Scoping Report and Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA), Palaentological Impact Assessment (PIA) and the recommendations contained therein. However, the recommendations are not specific to the potential impacts to the heritage sites. The impact assessment and recommendations must be amended once the layout for the solar development is finalised to include the impacts whether direct or indirect and the recommendations for their conservation or mitigation of the heritage site.
An amended .kml file must also be submitted to map the entire development area as a polygon and not a single point.
The SAHRA awaits the submission of the draft EIAr and its appendices, amended .kml file and the amended HIA report.
