Ngatia Trading Company NEMA S24G Rectification Application

A section 24G rectification process is required for the unlawful commencement of listed activities in terms of the NEMA for the illegal excavation and removal of soil/ sand material of more than 10 cubic metres and construction of dams within a watercourse, at Farm Elandsfontein 1438, Heidelberg, within the Lesedi Local Municipality. Ngatia Trading Company (herein referred to as Ngatia) is submitting a Section 24G application to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (GDARDE) for the unlawful commencement of listed activities. The site is located within the Gauteng Province.

Note: This is only a Preliminary Public Participation Process as per Regulation 8 of the Section 24G Fine Regulations (2017), which is a prerequisite prior to submission of a Section 24G Application to GDARDE.
