Part 2 Environmental Authorisation Amendment Process for the Naos Solar PV Project Three near Viljoenskroon in the Moqhaka Local Municipality, Fezile Dabi District Municipality, Free State Province

The DFFE approved the Naos Solar PV Project Three, with Reference Number: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2707, in May 2023. Along with Naos Solar PV Project One, and Naos Solar PV Project Two with Reference Numbers: 14/12/16/3/3/1/2698 and, 14/12/16/3/3/1/2705 respectively. The proposed development is 300 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) energy facility and associated infrastructure on Remaining Extent of the Farm Cijfervlei No. 6 and Portion 1 La Reys Kraal Zuid No. 165 near Viljoenskroon, Free State.

Naos Solar PV Project Three (RF) (Pty) Ltd, wishes to change the applicant name as well as amend the layout and update the EMPr of the Solar PV facility and therefore needs to undertake a Part 2 Amendment Process for the project. Administrative amendments being applied for include a change in the applicant name and layout amendment. It should be noted that the proposed amendments will not result in an increase in the level of impacts previously assessed or in a change in nature of impacts previously assessed and do not constitute additional listed or specified activities
