The proposed construction of approximately 1.94km 132 kV Chickadee powerline to supply Boschmanskop traction substation within Steve Tshwete Municipality in Nkangala District, Mpumalanga province

The proposed construction of approximately 1.94km 132 kV Chickadee powerline to supply Boschmanskop traction substation is located on portion 3, 7, 8 and 11 of farm Boschmanskop 154 IS, portion 13 and 18 of farm Roodepoort 151 IS and portion 11 of farm Hendrina Powerstation 162 IS within the jurisdiction of Steve Tshwete Local Municipality in Nkangala District, Mpumalanga province. The powerline starts from the existing 132 kV powerline (Hendrina Aberteen) to the existing 3 kV Boschmanskop substation. The line will tap in at Hendrina Aberdeen powerline at coordinates 26 2'53.55"S and 29 34'25.24"E and it will loop in at Boschmanskop substation at coordinates 26 3'47.31"S and 29 35'8.70"E to increase the power capacity on the 3 kV Boschmanskop substation.
