Sinai Enterprises proposes to undertake a mining of coal, pseudocoal, torbanite (oilshale) in a 5 hactares of the farm Nooitgedacht 14 IT portion of portion 2 for a period of 2 years in Carolina within Albert Luthuli Local Municipality in Mpumalanga Province. The applied area is approximately 13km east of Carolina
The commodity will be mined by an open cast mining method. This method consists of blasting of the mineral followed by excavation of the loosened mineral by excavators, loading of it onto tipper trucks which then transported to the ROM stockpile and mobile plant area within the mining area where it is crushed into desirable sizes.
