SECTION 24G APPLICATION ON THE UNLAWFUL ESTABLISHMENT OF NANDONI WATERFRONT RESORT ON PORTION 0 OF ERF NO. 399 SITUATED WITHIN THE THULAMELA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, LIMPOPO PROVINCE

The clearance of vegetation and subsequent construction of the resort was undertaken in 2021 and triggered listed activities
that require an Environmental Authorisation (EA) in terms of the 2014 NEMA Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Regulations. The activities took place on Portion 0 of Erf No.399 in, which is located approximately 8 km east of the town of
Thohoyandou, situated within the Thulamela Local Municipality, confined within the Vhembe District Municipality, Limpopo
Province.
The activity includes the building of the Nandoni Waterfront Resorts which is a 5800 square meter development. The resort
includes the development of various infrastructure built for hospitality and recreational activities on the edge of Nandoni
Dam which is less that 100m from a watercourse. The development also consists of a 5ha cleared site with a 1200 meter
runway which serves as a landing strip.
