Please be advised as follows:
- At present, Form A was completed for the demolition of a bridge/structure older than 60 years, however, if the bridge is longer than 50m, Section 41.1.b is trigerred, meaning that Form J would be needed, since any work regarding bridges longer than 50m, will force the owner/heritage practitioner to complete Form J and pay R10 000 - please upload proof of the length of the bridge.
- Secondly, it is a standard requirment or condition, that when the KZN Amafa & Research Instituted, authorises a demolition, the permit will state that the structure is demolished based on condition that work is done strictly in accordance with plans drawy by...., dated.....and according to drawing numbers......Accordingly a full set of drawings are needed, numbered and coloured, including the elevations, site plan as well as the floor plan of the bridge.
Written responses/requests for reconsideration of the application or consideration of new information must be loaded to the case on Sahris (email [email protected]) within 30 days of the date of this letter or any requirements/decisions contained herein will be considered final. Extensions of this time frame can be requested upon receipt of motivation.
Required additional information or revised drawings must be submitted within six months from the date of this letter or the application will lapse and a new application will be required.
