Unauthorised Additions and Alterations on Erf 1206 being at 09 Spencer Rd, Athlone Park Amanzimtoti, Durban

The renovations at the property located at 9 Spencer Road, Athlone Park, Amanzimtoti, were primarily carried out by the
previous owners. Meaning that the current owner purchased as is.
The current owners made only one modification to the building, which involved replacing the windows on the deck of the
existing façade with stacking doors. Unfortunately, they were unaware that this alteration which was on the existing
parameters of the building, without extension, required formal approval.
This modification was also completed prior to the classification of house under AMAFA heritage regulations.
