The Proposed Development of New School for Masibonge Secondary School with Netball and Soccer Field, at Busani Area next to R74, Weenen, within Ward 22 of Inkosi Langalibalele Municipality, uThukela District, KZN.

Masibonge Secondary School (SS) is a Public School located in the rural area of KwaZulu Natal, Midlands Region in Busani area, next to R74. The school is located in Semi- Permanent (Porta Cabins), which do not meet the National Minimum Uniform Norms and Standards for School Infrastructure (Notice No. of 2009 of the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996) herein simply referred to as norms and standards. As a result, the KwaZulu Natal Department of Publics Works (KZNPW) mandated for the Strategic Integrated Projects (SIP) 13; National Schools Building Programme agreements between the Department of Basic Education and Public Works; In conjunction with the framework for the building Programme, propose to build the new school for Masibonge SS to align it with the prescribed norms and standards.

The proposed development entails the development within a 4.3ha of indigenous vegetation, will involve and have following activities and amenities:
Construction of eight (8) standard classrooms;
Construction of one (1) library;
Construction of one (1) computer room and storerooms;
Construction of two (2) multipurpose/ specialist classrooms;
Construction of one (1) team teaching room/ activity room;
Construction of an administration and support building;
Construction of a school kitchen to support nutrition Programme;
Construction of sanitation facilities;
Construction of sports fields (Combi court and soccer field);
Installation/construction of site services (borehole, electrification, access road and parking bays).
