Exigent Engineering Consultants (hereinafter referred to as Exigent) has been appointed by Schoongezicht Solar & BESS (Pty) Ltd to undertake the EIA process in order to determine the biophysical, social and economic impacts associated with the construction and operation of construction and operation of a Solar PV Plant and BESS on 1000ha of Portion 3, 4, 9, 12, 23 & 37 of Farm Rondavel Alias Schoongezicht 109 JR (1120ha in total) located within the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng Province).
The maximum export capacity at the delivery point will be 700 MW.
The proposed site is located adjacent to existing Eskom infrastructure and servitudes – it is anticipated that
the project will tie in directly into the Eskom infrastructure that will feed to either Pelly or Diphororo substations..
