The Proposed Pepper BESS Energy Facility, Near Bloemfontein, Free State Province

The proposed BESS Energy Facility (EF) will connect to the Harvard Substation 275/132 kV MTS Substation. For the proposed Pepper BESS Energy Facility to connect to the electrical grid, the normal components of a distribution rated electrical substation will also be required. The connection power line will be constructed within the limits of a proposed grid connection corridor or Via a LILO (Loop-in, Loop-Out) connection known as "Fox Power Line" which will be done in a separate BA process.
