Proposal Description
The Applicant, Repower Africa (Pty) LTD, is proposing the expansion of an existing photovoltaic (PV) solar plant and associated infrastructure. The expansion will take place on 0.8ha of the Farm Portion Ptn R/81 Schurveberg 488-JQ (6518 A24254) (Part A), located on a site approximately 7km east-southeast of the town of Hartbeespoort, in Region 3 of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province. Making the extent of the ground mounted PV array 1.8ha in total. .
The extension of the facility will add 0.5MW of contracted capacity to the existing SEF – making the combined capacity 1.2MW of ground mounted static PV modules.
