Rietfontein 01 Mining Project

A mining permit is required for the Aggregate, Cobalt, copper ore, Diamond (General), Diamond (alluvial), Gold ore, Iron ore, Lead, Manganese ore, Nickel Ore, Pyrite, Sand (General) and silver ore (5 ha) at Bojanala platinum municipality on Certain Portion of the Remaining of Portion 9 of the farm Rietfontein 33 IQ. The Proposed mine involves open cast extraction of Aggregate, Cobalt, copper ore, Diamond (General), Diamond (alluvial), Gold ore, Iron ore, Lead, Manganese ore, Nickel Ore, Pyrite, Sand (General) and silver ore in an area situated approximately 20 km west of Magaliesburg town. Excavation will be conducted to remove the overlying soil and rock (overburden). This operation will include the use of a dedicated fleet of contractor based front-end loaders and rigid frame dumper units to load and haul all produced to the relevant processing facility. A mobile processing will be used. The ores will be stockpiled and transported to clients via trucks and trailers.
