Keilands Microgrid Electrification

Eskom is proposing the installation of solar microgrid containers in the villages of Keilands. The Keilands villages consist of approximately 112 households that are required to be electrified. We undertook a site visit on the 04 April to ascertain any possible impacts with the planned development and there’s been no impact anticipated where graves are concerned – as a grave site is far away from the selected points for Microgrid Containers. We did liaise with the community members as well to assist where that matter is concerned, and they were present on the day of the site visit.
