24-3018 Ore Wealth Mining

Ore Wealth Mining (Pty) Ltd (hereafter referred to as the “applicant”) has applied for a Mining Permit application in terms of Section 27 of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (“MPRDA”, Act No.28 of 2002) for coal to the Regional Department of Mineral Resources & Energy (“DMRE” Mpumalanga) in respect of Portion 2 of the Farm Brakfontein 264 IR, Magisterial District of Delmas, Victor Khanye Local Municipality, Nkangala District Municipality Province of Mpumalanga.
In order to undertake mining activities, the applicant requires a Mining Permit in terms of the MPRDA. A Basic Assessment process is required in terms of the NEMA 2014 amended regulations for the application of a Mining Permit. An applicant is also required to obtain Environmental Authorisation (EA) in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA, Act No. 107 of 1998) which involves the submission of the Basic Assessment Report (BAR) the local competent authority.
