Proposal Description
The proposed recovery / mining of sand will be undertaken through the pumping of sand from the riverbed into one settling dam situated on the riverbank. Water will drain back to the river and the sand that has settled in the settling dam will be excavated by earthmoving equipment (i.e. excavator) and stockpiled for sale to commercial buyers. The proposed site is 2.16 ha is size on the Remaining Extent of the Farm Nuwejaarspruit 1089, Rouxville District, Free State.
