THE EXPANSION OF THE KLIPFONTEIN OPENCAST OPERATIONS (INCLUSION OF THE KLIPFONTEIN WESTERN EXPANSION

It is the intention of Sibanye Rustenburg Platinum Mines (Pty) Ltd (SRPM) to expand the existing Klipfontein Opencast pit. The extent of the proposed pit expansion is ~10.6 ha. In addition to the pit expansion, support infrastructure such as the expansion of the existing haul road and security fence is proposed. The proposed expansion is required in order to ensure SRPM can access the required volumes of Platinum at their existing Klipfontein Opencast operations
