    Proposal Description
The above area will be mined through opencast excavations. Vegetation cover will be stripped, topsoil layer will be removed and stored on the side of the excavation. Overburden will be stripped and placed on the side of the excavation. The diamond bearing gravel is then removed with a 30-ton excavator and placed next to the excavation and loaded onto a tipper truck and taken to the processing area where it will be put through a washing pan for processing. Rough out of the pan and over size stones will be taken back to the excavation for backfilling and the wet puddle will be pumped directly into open excavations. Overburden will be pushed back after wet puddle is dried out and lastly topsoil will be replaced after finale sloping has occurred. Diamond gravel will be sorted and recovered by hand.
