Boshoek Solar 1 PV Facility and associated infrastructure

Boshoek Solar 1 (Pty) Ltd proposes the establishment of a solar photovoltaic (PV) facility, including associated infrastructure and a grid connection (‘the SEF and associated infrastructure’), near the town of Boshoek and Rustenburg, in the North West Province. The SEF and associated infrastructure are situated approximately 33 km north west of Rustenburg.
The SEF will comprise several arrays of PV panels and will have a contracted capacity of up to 150 MW. The SEF and associated infrastructure will connect to the future planned collector / switching station located ~3.5km north-east of the site on Remaining Extent of Farm Onderstepoort 98. A separate environmental process is being undertaken to assess the collector / switching station and its connection to the national grid.
The SEF is located within the Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality and the Grid Connection route extends into the Rustenburg Local Municipality, both within the Bojanala District Municipality, North West Province.
