Proposal Description
The TCTA will carry out maintenance activities along the Ash River, focusing on stabilising and rehabilitating the severely eroded riverbanks by installing erosion protection structures known as riprap (Proposed Development). Six sections known as "Critical Sections" have been identified along the along the Ash River, noting that the entire path uploaded under "KML" will not be developed. These structures will be located on Portion 0 of Farm Plasie No. 1856, Portion 1 of Farm Boston No. 40, Portion 0 of Farm Spionkop A No.1259, Portion 0 of Farm Merino No. 1487, Portion 1 of Farm Merino No. 1487, and Portion 2 of Farm Eendvogelvley No. 72 along the Ash River, between Clarens and Bethlehem within the Dihlabeng Local Municipality (DLM) and Thabo Mofutsanyane District Municipality (TMDM) in the Free State Province.
