Sativa Travel and Environmental Consultants (Pty) Ltd was appointed by Nkwe Platinum Limited (Zijin Garatau Platinum Mine) to handle the grave relocation process from Farm Maandagshoek 254 KT in the Fetakgomo Greater Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District Municipality in Limpopo Province. This relocation, forms part of an on-going grave relocation process which started in 2021 which involves the exhumation and reburial of graves. This process was necessitated by the planned expansion of the platinum mining fields at the aforementioned site. The heritage study identified approximately 8 graves . Sativa Travel and Environmental Consultants (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Nkwe Mine (Pty) Ltd carried out consultations with the custodians (families) for the proposed grave relocations.
