Eerstegoud Farming Application

The Applicant and landowner, MMI Boerdery (Pty) Ltd intends to expand the agricultural activities on his farm. There are 18 pivot irrigation lands existing on the site of 7ha each. The Applicant proposes to establish another 12 pivot irrigation lands of 7ha each and 50 additional lands of 1ha each for the cultivation of granadilla. The total affected area amounts to ~120ha already existing pivot irrigation lands, ~110ha proposed pivot irrigation lands and ~50ha granadilla lands (~280ha total). The Site is located over portions 1, 6 and 10 of the Farm Doornspruit Or Thorncastle 741LS just west of Polokwane in the Limpopo Province.
