Proposal Description
The proposed activity will be undertaken in various locations under the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province. Eskom is intending to connect customers in Kwa Ngcamama, Thyusha, Luyolo, Dyam-Dyam and Phozi villages in East London.
The proposed activity entails the:
- Up-grade of the existing SWER powerline to 22kV Mink conductor by 8.8km to be constructed
- Up-grade of the existing SWER to 22kV Fox – 8.2km Three phase Fox
- Build 9.3km LV backbone to align with new trf.
- Install 21 new transformers.
Th construction activity will be undertaken in a well-established community, no visible graves or any heritage artifacts were identified during the environmental screening on site.
