The Proposed Development of a Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Energy Facility Located near Bela-Bela in the Limpopo Province: Phase 3

The Applicant, Voltalia South Africa (Pty) Ltd, is proposing the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy facility located on, Doornput No. 458, portion no.8 located approximately 18km East of Bela-Bela in the Limpopo Province. The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 235 MW. The development area is situated within the Bela-Bela Local Municipality within the Waterberg District Municipality. The site will be accessed off the N1 road and then directly off the R516 road.
